High Gloss Magazine

I follow so many blogs and three of my favorites collaborated to introduce High Gloss Magazine.  It offers another creative indulgence by featuring beautiful fabrics, furniture, and clothing.  I get lost sometimes aimlessly looking though Pinterest, magazines, and blogs.  It is inspiring to see people create such beautiful things with their talents, and become incredibly successful by taking huge risks.  There are only three issues so far, and I can't wait to see how it develops.

Picking Skirt Fabrics

As I'm building my skirt website and deciding which fabrics I should make available, I thought I would share what I've come up with so far.  I love funky colors, which are usually Amy Butler fabrics, and some that are more simple in design.  I have to throw in a chevron, so I'm going with the black and white.  I'm so happy that I've found something I can do with these beautiful fabrics!!

 

Slice Couture Clothing and Monogramming

How awesome is my friend Carol's stuff at Slice Couture Clothing and Monogramming?  She is beyond talented with her sewing and fabric pairing skills.  She is a teacher by trade (God bless her), yet manages to take on the time consuming hobby of couture clothing.  Everything is customly made by hand.  You pick your fabric, or take her recommendations, then pick which item you want.  My recommendation is The Jill Dress, which she named after me!!

I am so happy because I am getting ready to launch my website for my skirts in the next few months.  I got a fabulous person to develop my website, do some logos, and create some beautiful work.  Here is a peek at what is in the works!
