Bargain Hunting Success

I seriously LOVE Pinterest.  Not only do I spend countless hours viewing pretty things, but I also get leads to some of the best fashion websites.  When you come across one that has such great prices it adds sunshine to my day.  Kind of equivalent to finding money in your pocket.  The dress is only $29.40, and the top is only $25.30 at Urbanog.com

Weekly Pinterest Faves

I just purchased two days worth of Charleston Fashion Week tickets so its been all about clothes and style this week for me on Pinterest.  These were some of my faves this week.  The first dress is GORGEOUS, and the last pic has my favorite color combination of pink and navy.  Doesn't it seem that a pop of turquoise can go with anything???  It's kind of like leopard print.  You can add it to just about anything.

Swimwear Options

Summer is my favorite season.  Mostly because I get to relax by the pool most days.  Strangely, my favorite smells are even sunscreen and chlorine, LOL.  I had Skylar just 5 weeks ago, and I'm realizing that bikinis aren't exactly the style I want to sport this year.  Am I getting more modest because my body has changed or am I just getting more reserved becuase I'm older and now a mom???  Either way, I've found some cute monokinis that have the perfect combination of bikini and one piece swimwear design.  The turquoise one is only $30 from Go Jane.  What a bargain!

Ole' Fashion Shrimp & Grits

I've never been a fabulous cook, but while I've been out on maternity leave I've felt the need to make dinner more for my husband.  I can only cook simple dishes that call for little ingredients.  It's so intimidating when I find dishes on Pinterest that have 20 or more ingredients.  Not to mention, purchasing each ingredient can dig in a whole your wallet.  This recipe was super simple.  Only two things, grits and shrimp.  Make instant grits in one sauce pan, then add cheese.  Sautee shrimp in another pan with butter and seasoning.  Then combine the two to make a beautiful dish!  I garnished with scallions.  I thought it was a nice creative touch for such a novice chef.

Ingredients:
  • Half Pound of Large Shrimp
  • Butter
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • Chives
  • Lemon Juice
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Grits
  • Salt and Pepper
